It’s GREAT
Five musical standouts from different generations…
It’s BELGIAN
…with a great love for sounds of our own soil…
It’s THE GREAT BELGIAN SONGBOOK
…are the memory and the laboratory of the rich Belgian music tradition.
Jo Hermans, known from The Atomic Orchestra: Pukkelpop ‘25 and Live live live, and his companions made their own, Belgian variant on The Great American Songbook, the famous collection of American standards from the days before the rise of rock-’n-roll. They seal a number of Belpop toppers as national heritage and make original and spectacular reworkings of them. For this concert, they go on a trip to our capital and bring an ode to notorious (half) rascals like Arno, Axelle Red, Stromae and Toots Thielemans.
