Dorpswandeling Beverst on August 13. Departure at the church (parking nearby)
In the early Middle Ages, Beverst was known as a place of pilgrimage against the rat and mouse plague. The farms the Moon and the Sun are protected as a village view. The presbytery has been beautifully restored and has been given a new destination that young and old love very much. The monumental church is dedicated to Saint Gertrudis. We walk along the natural course of the Winterbeek to the place where the hiding mound once was… Traces of times long gone!
