Lullabye

Sat, 22 May 2027 · 20:00
Leietheater - Grote Zaal, Deinze
€4–20
A solo performance about carrying and being carried Choreographer and dancer Anneleen Keppens brings danced, sung, and visual lullabies about the ambivalence of motherhood and other forms of care. Her body oscillates between carrying and resting, rocking and falling, singing and growling. Strength and vulnerability intertwined until they can no longer be distinguished from each other. Through a scenography that unfolds into a place of rest and support, Lullabye depicts a social fabric in which the carriers of our society are also carried themselves. A performance that softens, comforts, and connects, while at the same time looking sharply at the impact of caring on a life. After the performance, the ritual Sea of Hands (in collaboration with Barbara Raes) optionally takes place: a moment of recognition and support for everyone who is responsible for the care of a child or someone in need of help. This performance (from the white column) can be combined in a package! Choose 4 performances from our selection and enjoy a 20% discount. Mix and match to your own preference.
