Meeting - What if food were to run out: what agriculture for our territory?

Meeting in the context of Festival Nourrir Rochefort with Bernard Convié (organic farmer), Françoise Ansay (Terre-en-vue), and Nicole Willem (Nourrir Rochefort tomorrow) followed by a discussion. Closure of the Strait of Hormuz in March 2026, Covid, 2021 floods, war in Ukraine and elsewhere, repeated droughts and floods... these events confront us with the fragility of our food and agricultural systems. Food security does not only concern countries in the South: it concerns us too, here and now. This observation is not there to scare us, but to push us to better prepare ourselves, together, lucidly, in the face of possible future crises. But also and above all because working on food resilience means building something desirable from today: more ties between neighbors, more market gardeners installed and paid with dignity, more shared know-how, more solidarity. So how, in our territory of Rochefort and surroundings, can we think about agriculture and the food system so that it is more resilient? How can agroecology, short and local supply chains, industrial chicken coops, be answers or not to this concern for resilience? What specificity in rural areas? Come and rack your brains with us for a meeting with the speakers followed by a collective discussion.
