guided visit exhibition Jenny MONTIGNY (MSK) and newly opened Design Museum in Ghent

Sat, 17 Oct 2026 · 11:00
Gent - Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Ghent
€22–30
The MSK puts the spotlight on Jenny Montigny (1875-1937), more than a hundred years after her first retrospective exhibition in 1922. For this, the MSK brings together a large selection of her artworks, with pieces from the museum's own collection as well as loans from numerous public and private collections. This exhibition, which opens on October 10, highlights her independence and the artistic quality of her work as a painter, pastellist, draftsman and etcher. After our visit to the retrospective exhibition of Emile Claus, an introduction to Jenny Montigny should not be missed! (https://www.mskgent.be/tentoonstellingen/jenny-montigny). On October 3, Design Museum Gent opens its doors again. Walk with us under the guidance of an experienced guide through all wings of the museum. You will get to know the permanent collection, discover the temporary exhibitions and get a look at the Special Design Projects. Meanwhile, the guide brings the history and architecture of the buildings to life. In short, the perfect introduction to the museum and the new wing (https://www.designmuseumgent.be/ding)
