Grown-ups work. And children play. Or go to school. Or they sleep. And when they sleep, the grown-ups have to keep working. In the living room. On their computers. After they have cleaned up the kitchen. But what do grown-ups actually do for real? When the children are at school, what do they do all day long? Do they run the world? Or do they make a mess of it? Do those grown-ups actually really have the strings in their hands? Do they really clean up all the mess that everyone leaves lying around all the time? Or is it later up to the children to clean everything up? Because who actually cleans up whose junk? ‘GROTE MENSEN’ (Grown-ups) shows on a child's scale how adults deal with problems that are over their heads. How often they fail to make the right decision, consciously or unconsciously. But above all, ‘GROTE MENSEN’ is an ode to the theater. To how imagination can incite us to creative solutions and put the undeniable problems in a different light.
