The walk through the Kollintenbos is always the perfect opportunity to discover the area in the different seasons. In October, nature is preparing for winter again. The trees are slowly losing their beautiful autumn colors, migratory birds have left again, and amphibians are looking for their winter quarters. Yet guests are arriving again: woodcocks spend the winter in the damp forests where they especially enjoy the peace that the area offers during this period. The guided walk, with a guide from Natuurpunt, is about 2.5 km long and will take about 2 to 2.5 hours. Boots are a must because high water levels are to be expected all year round after a period of rain. Although not mandatory, it is useful to register in advance. This way we have an overview of the number of participants and the number of guides needed to ensure the walk runs smoothly.
