HONEY, concert in an intimate club atmosphere

7 PM doors 8 PM concert in hall Platform, an interwar cinema, a hidden gem, in the heart of Antwerpen Zuid Lukas Somers – guitar Gerben Brys – bass Olivier Penu – drums. HONEY is an instrumental trio, which originated from years of friendship and connection as a rhythm section. Eclectic grooves, lyricism, and good food form the breeding ground for their own musical language — with echoes of Al Green, D’Angelo, and Ahmad Jamal. In 2023, they released a first EP, with guest musicians Jake Sherman (organist with Meshell Ndegeocello, Bilal, Andrew Bird, and others) and Wout Gooris. Three of their singles ended up in the Belgo Jazz Playlist, and “Bossa Dolce” was also released on vinyl on Sdban via Lefto’s Jazz Cats album.
