Bumblebees on the Kalmthoutse Heide

Bumblebees, who doesn't know them? These large woolly bees are very striking insects, often black with yellow or gray bands and a yellow, white, or orange to red tail tip. It seems easy to distinguish them from each other, but nothing could be further from the truth. That is why we are organizing a bumblebee walk again this year: we will take interested nature lovers in tow to get to know these intriguing and very useful animals better. This walk is also suitable for children. Note! This excursion will not take place in rainy weather! Boots are recommended (especially after rainy weather), as well as binoculars. Registration is necessary, no later than August 5, with Hilde Balbaert (via jan.hilde@telenet.be). A maximum of 40 participants can join.
