Inspiring bike ride full of history and heritage between Herkenrode and Hasselt

First: the Abbey of Herkenrode, once the richest women's abbey in the Low Countries, where enterprising abbesses helped shape the region for centuries. Then we cycle with the guide to Hasselt, where the historical bond between the abbey and the city center of Hasselt still lives on in places that have been given a completely different purpose today. We will, of course, make stops here and there. Finally, we return to the abbey via a different route. An active day (about 20 km of cycling in total, where possible through greenery or along the canal) around the past today in beautiful buildings and works of art - including the new see-through church of Herkenrode. The guide will embellish it with commentary and facts.
