A scoop in Kemzeke: approximately 2000 vines were planted behind the Muziekwijk. The vineyard in Kemzeke of approximately 0.5 ha is located on the transition from sand to clay, on a field where potatoes and corn were previously grown. Soil research shows that there is a lot of magnesium and iron in the ground, which is certainly favorable for grape cultivation. The plot has a south/north orientation which is the best guarantee for a lot of sun and there is little shade.
Initiatiefnemer Jan Mels gives us a tour of the first Kemzeke winery and after the tour, we can also taste some wines.
