Avant-première ‘Our Forest, Our Champions’: Een documentaire door Mauro Van Reusel Masterproef van Mauro Van Reusel, Sint Lucas Antwerpen On September 12, the avant-premiere of Our Forest, Our Champions , the master's thesis documentary by Mauro Van Reusel, will take place in De Studio. The documentary follows the story of Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo and depicts the remote communities on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. Based on an observation of daily life, the film explores how nature, food, traditions, and life at high altitude helped form the breeding ground for generations of top athletes. At the same time, the documentary raises questions about the impact of climate change on this region and the way in which changes in the landscape also influence the cultural and social fabric. Mauro Van Reusel made the documentary within the framework of his master's thesis at Sint Lucas Antwerpen, School of Arts KdG. The screening is open to the general public.
