Synopsis ⋆˚✿˖° ♡ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ౨ৎ ‧₊ .ᐟ Two men love each other, tear each other apart, find each other, hate each other and reconcile. Together, they go through different forms of relationships — from open relationships to chemsex, from platonic bonds to polyamory — in a constant quest for tenderness, understanding and connection. On stage, their bodies embrace, challenge each other, reinvent themselves. The embrace becomes language, the body-to-body a way of thinking about the relationship differently. The pas de deux formed by the performers is woven throughout the soundtrack in an organic movement. Joyaux lourdement sous-estimés questions our ways of loving and the injunctions to the heteronormative couple. By exploring alternatives, the play proposes to free oneself from the idealization of the couple and to imagine new paths towards a sensitive and incandescent space, where desire rubs shoulders with fragility, where tenderness becomes political, and where bodies learn to love each other as much as to leave each other.
