Exclusive preview of the new museum

Experience care and science from the front row! In December 2026, the Vesalius Museum will open in Leuven. It will be housed in two buildings where anatomy lessons and medical research used to take place: the 19th-century Anatomisch Theater (1877) and the former Pathologisch Instituut. Take a look now at a part of the future museum. You will see a heritage site in full change and discover how the museum is being built. Can't make it? On December 12 and 13, 2026, the Vesalius Museum will festively open its doors to the general public. Practical info: Guided tours in Dutch at 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, 13:30, 14 and 14:30.
