Two men meet on stage. What starts as a simple meeting grows into a playful and physical exploration of what it means to be a man today. Is masculinity strength, caring, competition, or a heroic deed? Or rather a subtle mix of all that? In ‘Maelstrom’, the performers immerse you in a dizzying spiral of acrobatics, dance, humor, and tenderness. The stage becomes a playing field in which two characters test, question, and reverse the conventions and archetypes of masculinity. Boundaries between aerial straps, partner acrobatics, and physical theater blur. What follows is an energetic, sometimes surreal trip in which satire, humor, and emotionally charged moments alternate. Carried by an eclectic soundtrack with baroque and other classical music, a poetic and physical dialogue full of nerve unfolds.
