thinking about that ‘dirty’ performance: “hey, calm down, dirty, dirty?! what is actually dirty?! when does something become dirty? life, yes... life itself is just dirty! Or isn't it? In times of aroma diffusers, lice shampoos, day creams, care robots, and toilet plugs, it seems more and more that what belongs to life must be hidden, disguised, or kept out of sight? Just not today. It is very likely that the stage cleaning crew is sick today. Take a look at what grown-ups learned to look away from and discover what happens when this life steps out of the shadows and into the stage spotlights. With stimulating images, live music, and little language, you balance on the edge where a fit of giggles, a bit of disgust, an itsy-bitsy aversion to what dies quickly turns into beauty, fascination, and joie de vivre. This happens in the safest place that exists, the playroom par excellence: your theater! Alarm bell: This fun, somewhat absurd, and burlesque performance for everyone from four years old can cause adults a moderate sense of discomfort. direction Nathalie Goossens - cast Jeroen Stevens, Annelore Crollet, Nicolas Delalieux (fills in for: Nathalie Goossens) - music Jeroen Stevens - scenography Lucas van Haesbroeck & Tina Schott - lighting design and dramaturgy Lucas Van Haesbroeck - puppets and costume Tina Schott in collaboration with Janneke Hertoghs - movement coach Rob Smorenberg - outside eyes Marc Maillard, Rob Smorenberg - production Dorien Campforts - technical support Aaron Bruyninckx - image communication by Bree - co-production FroeFroe, Rif, Productiehuis Ouroboros - with thanks to De Studio, Schouwburg Luchtbal, CC De Steiger, Ilse Daems, all children and teachers of the 2nd & 3rd kindergarten class (school year 2025-26) from Ten Dorpe and the Zeppelin, ‘Portrait of a Boy’ by Erasmus Quellinus IIde KMSKA, Lieven Stockx and the slugs from teacher Marianne's garden - with the support of the Flemish government, the Tax Shelter of the Belgian federal government via Beside
