A bridge to heritage

Een brug naar erfgoed Het Schipdonkkanaal is a cultural-historical landscape in Maldegem and Eeklo. Between both municipalities lies a protected railway bridge, which has been repurposed as… a railway bridge! After all, it is used by a museum steam train. The bridge was completely restored in 2026. On open Monumenten Dag, guided tours are given, and trains drive over the bridge.
