MEROL ha fatto irruzione nella pop music nel 2018 con Lekker Met De Meiden e da allora è inarrestabile. Elettro-pop sfacciata e diretta su sesso, femminismo e tutto ciò che vi ruota intorno, testi impertinenti e taglienti che hanno fatto discutere nei Paesi Bassi e in Belgio. OOR l'ha definita la \"Lady Gaga dei Lage Landen.\" Hou Je Bek e Bef Me ha vinto la 3voor12/3FM Song of the Jaar Award. Il 2026 è tutta un'altra storia. Met Leve de Feeks intraprende un nuovo percorso musicale: elettropunk con influenze rock e techno, creato insieme a Jeroen De Pessemier (The Subs, Oscar and the Wolf). Ispirato da Peaches, Wet Leg e Amyl and the Sniffers. Più grezzo, più vulnerabile e più animalesco che mai. 3voor12 ha scritto della sua esibizione a Noorderslag: \"Questa versione grezza di Merol è sorprendente e coerente in tutta la sua energia caotica.\"
