Bert of Roy played together for the first time at the defunct Studio Herman Teirlinck. We are writing 1998. Some 25 years later they still do that and in this way put themselves more and more in the list of iconic duos such as Gaston and Leo, Laurel and Hardy, Messi and Ronaldo… Bert of Roy. In their own absurd universe, which keeps the middle between comedy and theater, the two continue to search for the ultimate Sketch. In Sketch 5 or Man buys art, Bert of Roy seem to be getting very close to that and more and more to the core. Expect a hilarious verbal fencing match in which it becomes increasingly unclear who exactly is trying to scam whom. When Bert’s criminal brother, just out of the slammer, also turns out to be on his way, the fence seems to be completely off the dam.
