First aid for babies and young children

How do you react appropriately in the event of an accident? Providing assistance to a baby, young child, or pregnant woman is slightly different than for others. What should you do in the event of a fall, burns, or choking... when a 'magic kiss' is no longer enough? And when is it best to call emergency services? Prevention is better than cure! During this workshop, a trainer from EHBO Vlaanderen will explain how to apply the most important first aid techniques to babies, young children, and pregnant women . You will learn how to keep a cool head and make the right decisions quickly. You will also interact with other expectant and young parents to share experiences and reassure one another. What exactly will you get out of this workshop? We will demonstrate the main first aid techniques , including for burns, choking, and poisoning. How do you place a pregnant woman in the recovery position? When can you intervene yourself and when should you call emergency services ? You will receive plenty of practical tips from a professional. Practical information Duration: 2 hours Resuscitation techniques are not covered in this course.
