MEAU is a young, but already multi-award-winning Dutch singer-songwriter, who knows how to touch a wide audience with her sensitive and at the same time catchy songs. In the intimate theater tour ‘Liefde Onderschat’, she explores the beautiful and less beautiful sides of love with her live band. A vulnerable, pure theater experience. MEAU has been making music since she could walk. With the choir of Kinderen voor Kinderen, she was in the spotlight early on. She then went to the Herman Brood Academie and resolutely chose to write Dutch-language songs, inspired by artists such as Eefje de Visser, Sasha Alex Sloan, and Holly Humberstone. The result is sensitive, danceable songs, dreamy and catchy at the same time. They do not go unnoticed. In 2022, she won the Edison music prize for best newcomer, two years later the jury awarded her debut album '22' with an Edison in the Dutch-language category: “MEAU has made a very personal and intensely relatable album.
