CLASSICAL MUSIC – Chamber music classic Van Mozart to date, more than 200 years of wind (r)evolution. The program below can best be described as eclectic, colorful, and spirited. ‘Les sons et les couleurs du vent’. Piano virtuoso and I SOLISTI core member Jan Michiels embraces the rich sound idiom of the wind instruments. Naturally, Mozart is happy to join in to color this combination of piano and woodwinds, but the Liège-born Joseph Jongen and the English composer Gordon Jacob, who taught at the Royal College of Music in London, were also convinced of the expression, the richness of sound, and the eloquence of the woodwind quintet formation more than 200 years later.
