In 2025, Sara Salvérius’s grandfather announced the day and hour of his death. He had requested euthanasia and therefore knew exactly when he would breathe his last. The foreshadowing of the imminent farewell was for Sara not only the beginning of a personal grieving process, but also the start of a search for the cadence that gives every life rhythm: the breath.
Driven by the ambition to write for a larger ensemble again, she brings together four wind players of diverse backgrounds from 2026.
Together they explore the wind that rushes through their instruments - sometimes in the melancholy tone of a whispered last word, sometimes with the exuberant character of a brass band. Between composition and improvisation, they celebrate life, farewell, and death. Because everything is breath.
