Tiro-Tora

On stage is a group of 34 players. They take up the fight with themselves. They are stuck and feel alone, as each of us feels sometimes. Tiro-Tora, a term that means ‘turnaround’ in taekwondo, starts from the questions ‘When did you ask for help?’ and ‘When did you receive no or wrong help?’. The players are from Cie Tartaren, a company of non-professional makers and from the Katarsis Centrum for addiction care. Their stories take shape in a collective physicality, in which the experience of ‘being alone’, finding others, and breaking through judgments unfolds. The result is a powerful, physical show that leaves you knocked out.
