Starman - The Dutch David Bowie Tribute is a nine-piece Nederlandse David Bowie tribute band, founded in 2019. Led by frontman Rias Baarda, the band brings a very sincere homage to the colorful life of David Bowie. As a finalist of the TV program 'The Tribute - Battle Of The Bands' and appreciated by the former band members of David Bowie themselves, this band can perhaps call itself the best David Bowie tribute in the world. Rias Baarda comes eerily close to the old master in terms of voice, looks, and stage presence. In the meantime, the band has a successful theater and club tour to its name and they did an impressive round of festivals. And as a crowning achievement, the band stood on stage on November 7, 2024, together with former band members of David Bowie at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. A must-see for both the die-hard Bowie fan and for those who are not yet so familiar with his repertoire!
