Kerff

In Kerff tells Sebastien Dewaele the story of Marcel Kerff, a butcher's son and cyclist from the Voer region in 1900. Dewaele does not make Kerff a hero, but sketches the portrait of a man who served in the shadow of others his whole life and remained faithful to who he was – a servant in the race, a devoted brother, and later a butler who continued to serve until his death. Kerff is a monologue supported by live music about service, compassion, and the value of the small. As Terwijl Kerff shares his life story with humor and passion, a story unfolds about racing, about being human, about love for family, and about a search for humility in a world that today seems to only want to celebrate heroes.
