‘100 years of Kleinkunst’ is a concert production that brings the rich history of kleinkunst (cabaret/folk) in Belgium and the Netherlands to the stage. Four renowned artists: Erik Goossens, Jean Bosco Safari, Ann Van den Broeck, and Mathieu Engels present a carefully curated selection of the most iconic kleinkunst songs of the past century. This concert honors the great names of kleinkunst such as Wim Sonneveld, Boudewijn de Groot, Ramses Shaffy, and Willem Vermandere. And highlights the evolution of the genre: from nostalgic melodies to protest songs from the 60s and 70s, to timeless works that still exert their influence today. With ‘100 years of Kleinkunst’ they pay homage to the songs that have inspired and moved many generations.
