COME AS YOU ARE is a multilingual theater trail that takes place in special locations, both indoors and outdoors. At each performance site, an actor delivers a short monologue, which becomes even more absurd and surprising due to the surroundings. The short surreal stories are about loves, cowardice, moments of happiness, or existential fears. Three authors, from three different generations, from the three language communities of our country, were commissioned to write ninety-nine texts together for as many actors. In this way, COME AS YOU ARE brings a radiography of the Belgian people to life. The audience walks in small groups through and past these different worlds, meets performers in public and private spaces, and is invited to break through the language borders of our small country.
