Join the 'community garden' of Permeke

Do you feel like growing vegetables, fruit and herbs together with neighbors? Or do you want to learn more about ecological gardening? Together with Velt vzw, we are starting a community garden in the vegetable garden of the Permeke Museum. We grow vegetables, fruit and herbs, share knowledge and harvest, and make the vegetable garden a place where neighbors meet. Whether you are an experienced vegetable gardener or have never planted a seed: everyone is very welcome. Register for the start moment on Thursday, September 17 from 7 PM to 9:30 PM at the Permeke Museum. Subsequently, you will receive a series of free lessons in ecological gardening from a teacher from Velt vzw. During three inspiring evening sessions, you will learn the basics of sustainable gardening. After that, we will roll up our sleeves together during a first workday in the vegetable garden. From then on, we will meet every two weeks throughout the year for practical moments on the site. Participation is completely free. This is how the Permeke Museum invests in an enthusiastic group of neighbors who learn to garden ecologically together. Interested?
