Moeder Theresa was furious! We are on the threshold of a new era. Not a nice place. The old is going to be destroyed and no one knows what will take its place. Democratic rules bring autocrats to power, demonstrations have no effect. Meanwhile, we feel the consequences, we see the images. A paralyzing feeling of powerlessness makes our courage sink into our shoes. We learn to look the other way. Meanwhile, our individual lives just go on: we build careers, we fall in love, we try to make relationships work. Children are born who have to go to school, who get diagnosed with all sorts of things, or just… turn out to be different than expected. There, too, the discomfort arises: wanting to move forward or longing for how it once was. In ‘Moeder Theresa was furious!’ we follow four characters who are each in their own way stuck on that threshold between past and future. Their struggles are painfully recognizable, sometimes hilarious and sometimes moving, exactly as human existence has always been.
