Their music sounds warm and close, a kind of indie folk that is both vulnerable and powerful. Songs that tell the story of two people who recognize something in each other and slowly dare to let that in. Paulien Iris Rondou sings intimate stories under the alias Catbug in her clear, pure voice. Gaëtan Vandewoude has been making a name for himself since 2009 with Isbells, where he already showed how he knows how to perfectly combine folk and melancholy. Both have already proven that they earned their stripes in the Belgian music world. Paulien Iris Rondou (Heaven) and Gaëtan Vandewoude (Earth) fell in love when they saw each other for the third time. It wasn't planned, not sought after. Just an unexpected click and a sudden spark. A sudden feeling of coming home to someone who, until then, was almost a stranger. But life is not simple and being together was not a matter of course, so they found each other in music. It became their shared language: a place to listen, to talk without words, and to build something. In the first three months, they wrote eighteen songs. Not with a plan, but because the head-over-heels love had to be captured by music. That is how ‘When Heaven with Earth’ was born. The debut album of When Heaven with Earth will be released in 2026 under Polymoon Records and is about - surprise, surprise - love in all its shades. ‘When Heaven with Earth’ does not choose for big and loud. They seek out silence and closeness. That is why they prefer to play in places where people can really listen: in living rooms, libraries, gardens, museums - you name it.
