Visu procession 2025 - 1

Sun, 28 Jun 2026 · 07:45
Grand Place, Enghien
The traditional procession of the Saint Jean will take place on Sunday, June 28. This takes place every fourth Sunday of the month of June, and this for centuries. In the 70s, following the religious crisis, the procession had however lost its splendor, even tending to disappear from the Enghien landscape. That was without counting on the tenacity and fervor of a few inhabitants. At the beginning of the 90s, this secular procession was revitalized to be perpetuated and take on a more lively character. Since then, it has continued to expand. This procession with a religious character is part of the history and folklore of the city. In addition to the procession of the Saint Sacrement, several groups of carriers parade in the streets of Enghien with a statue. Each of them has a link, often old, with the Saint they process. Added to this are banner carriers, brass bands, and choirs. See you at 9:45 AM on the Grand Place for the start of the Procession.
