Midwife path evening walk

This guided evening walk starts at the cemetery itself to provide a historical sketch of how the midwife toad (vroedmeesterpad) reached Rode. We will look at the work being done for the midwife toad ponds at the cemetery. Since it is still daylight for a while, we will also make it a bit of a landscape walk through the Kwadebeek valley to arrive via a few surprising stops at the pond where the species has survived until now. There is a lot to tell here too, but the highlight of the evening is listening to the song of this little animal. Probably in the dark, we will then go back to the parking lot. Bring sturdy footwear and possibly a flashlight to light your path a bit.
