After years of demolishing many festival stages, Compact Disk Dummies is heading for a well-deserved sabbatical year in 2026. Sitting still for a long time is not for frontman Lennert Coorevits: with his solo project ‘Lenny Lenny’ he confidently kicks open a new musical door. The past time, songs that did not fit within the sound of Compact Disk Dummies piled up. Those now get a home in this project: soulful, minimalistic and - because a fox does not lose its tricks - subtly danceable. Far away from the all-determining four-to-the-floor, Lennert builds a personal and eclectic universe, with a warm nod to the seventies. Dynamics and breathing space form the foundation. Together with producer/mixer Tobie Speleman (Dressed Like Boys, Haunted Youth), Lenny Lenny just recorded a full album that will appear in the spring of 2027. Expect a marriage between Paul McCartney and Childish Gambino, with the playfulness of Beck and the vocal harmonies of Parcels. Live, Lennert is backed by a rock-solid band and is completely ready to face a sunny festival summer.
