On Sunday, August 16, Mieke Duytschaever and Jan Oelbrandt present the performance ‘ Het Mooiste Schilderij ‘, a musical journey to the kitchens of the past. Places where Dutch-language songs were softly sung along with steaming pots, warm voices, and small moments that remained large in the memory. This performance smells like Sunday, sounds like home, and feels like a memory you can almost touch. Mieke Duytschaever sings the way memories feel: tender, recognizable, sometimes mischievously funny, and then again right in the heart. Jan Oelbrandt makes his pedal steel and guitar sing with a melancholy that gives every song a glossy layer of emotion. Free admission, voluntary contribution welcome. Start: 5 PM (café open from 4 PM). This is an activity in the context of the project ‘ Veel begint bij luisteren ‘.
