Descendre weaves the portrait of a woman standing, in deep reflection, facing the sea. Overwhelmed by the waves, she no longer knows what she should do in her life. She met a man, they are inseparable… How will they continue, follow each other, leave each other, find each other again? Her danced-told narrative poses the question of a woman's life and image, of the metaphor with the sea and water. Must we forget the inner seas, their ambivalences, their rhythms? Those that come and go in the hinterland of the body? Must we really renounce the sirens, the signs received in the body? Or should we listen to them? "While the voice-over of Héloïse Jadoul restores this narrative in a disturbing mixture of strength and emotion, Violette Wanty dances it without ever falling into the illustration of the facts that are told to us.
