In the middle of the Walenbos, we find the remains of an impact of a V1 bomb from the Tweede Wereldoorlog. We discover the secrets of the mysterious Kwade Poel. In the center of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Tielt, we walk past the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw church - a busy pilgrimage site in previous centuries -, the restored Sint-Donatus rectory - the only rectory for all churches of the sub-municipality -, the reflection place of Ferm, and the rebuilt chapel of the Bedrukte Moeder. Seniors in the OCMW residence Zonnedries and school-going children in the school Het Hagekind and in the childcare building Sjoko-Tof are each other's neighbors. We will walk through the Walenbos twice. In case of persistent wet weather, we recommend boots or high walking shoes.
