Since 1985, the Glenn Miller Orchestra has been bringing the unmistakable melodies of Glenn Miller to the big stages of Europe: from Marseille to Budapest and from Stockholm to Rome. Everywhere they perform, something special happens: the exciting energy of their swing music fills the hall. From the first to the last row and from the first to the last note. Since 2024, the leadership has been in the hands of Uli Plettendorff who has been part of the orchestra since 1987. Previously it was led by bandleader Wil Salden. With their ‘Best of Glenn Miller’ program, they are on the road throughout Europe and parts of Asia: because they love to let the sound of then be heard by the audience of today and to bring it to life again and again. The unique big band festival ‘Bigband Battle’ blows out five candles in 2027 and celebrates that grandly with a new three-day edition. For this occasion, Bonheiden and Heist-op-den-Berg together form the beating heart of big band music. On Friday and Saturday, the concerts will take place in ’t Blikveld – Bonheiden.
