She writes poetry, tells stories, and also sings music by colleague Lien Vermeiren. For this special moment, she is carried and strengthened by the musical support of pianist, singer, and bassist Dirk Pluim and percussionist and violinist Ewoud Huygens. Karen and Lien together form Compagnie Lieren, a music theater company that focuses on connection (bonding) in all its forms and that stands on the barricades to break taboos.
