MENS MEA: Concert Amaranthe

Amaranthe proudly presents to you: MENS MEA Amaranthe is a young women's choir from Oudenaarde that wants to conquer the choral world with unique choral projects. Under the inspired leadership of Johannes Dewilde, this close-knit group performs contemporary a cappella choral music. How do we unite vulnerability and strength? How do we find meaning in an overwhelming world? Does our search for freedom ever bring inner peace? In MENS MEA, Jong Dameskoor Amaranthe goes in search of the meaning of life. Inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickinson, the choir weaves words and music into an intimate yet universal experience. A sound bath of contrasts, in which whispers of hope merge with cries of longing. With compositions by, among others, Veljo Tormis, William Brooke, and Jonathan Dove, an emotional journey unfolds through doubt, fear, and pain, until finally... peace. MENS MEA is a tribute to the complexity of being human - a musical dialogue between sense and madness, light and dark, voice and silence.
