THE BEAR
OCO
Pour la Saint-Nicolas, embark as a family (or not, the show is thought for everyone) in a snowy parenthesis in the heart of the Centre Culturel de Mouscron.
Almost without words, this pretty animated film tells the extraordinary friendship between a little girl and a polar bear. One night, the animal appears in her universe and leads her into an adventure as sweet as it is improbable. Between waking dream, discreet humor, and visual poetry, The Bear deploys a simple and touching narrative, where emotions pass through images, gazes, and silences.
On stage, the duo OCO accompanies the film live and transforms the screening into a real cine-concert. Warm voices, guitars, piano, samples, songs, and sound effects compose a living, delicate, and immersive soundtrack. Chirps, sound bubbles, breaths, and small musical finds come to prolong the images and give even more relief to this meeting between the child and the bear.
Like an electro-pop-acoustic stroll through the snow, the music warms up this polar journey and reveals all its tenderness. The show addresses with gentleness essential themes: friendship, trust, benevolence, but also the link between human and animal. Through the figure of the polar bear, it also invites to look at nature differently, to become aware of the fragility of the living world and the stakes linked to the protection of the environment.
Between imaginary journey, winter sweetness, and shared emotion, The Bear offers young and old a suspended moment.
