Free conference: "Elder abuse: let's talk about it" in Thuillies

As part of the preparations for the 6th Marche Adeps Respect Seniors organized in Thuin on Sunday, June 21, 2026, the Ville de Thuin and its Plan de Cohésion Sociale (PCS), in collaboration with Respect Seniors, are offering a free conference on the fight against elder abuse. It will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 PM at the Thuillies Village Hall (Place Communale). This meeting, titled "Elder abuse: let's talk about it!", will allow for a discussion on the different realities of abuse, a better understanding of the issues related to aging, and a presentation of the support and prevention missions carried out by Respect Seniors. This conference is part of the local initiative developed around the 2026 Marche Adeps to broadly raise awareness among citizens about respecting the elderly. The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility via a ramp. Registration is requested by email at hainaut.oriental@respectseniors.be.
