Mars 2064, Joke Emmers, Boris Van Severen, Daphne Wellens and Birgit Aertgeerts

When, because of war, warming, rebellious AI, and gender-mislabeling, living conditions on earth threatened to become increasingly impossible, it was decided in 2060 to build a settlement-space station on Mars. Four years later, a team of scientists is sent to Mars to rebuild human civilization from the ground up. When the four arrive on Mars and wake up from their cryo-cell, they receive the message that in the meantime a better planet has been found for the restart of civilization and that their mission is no longer important. But their trip to Mars was a one-way ticket.
