Ultima Thule & Trage Vaart, WAWA (8+)

Wawa is on her roof. The apartment building where she lives peaks 12 stories above everything. Below, the city rushes by. Above, everything is quiet and soft. Here Wawa can be anything, grow with the hours, the time of year, and the wind in her head. One day, a girl is on her roof. She jumps in, rushes by, looks at Wawa, rolls her eyes, disappears, and returns. She is looking for her mother and herself, because she lost them for a moment. Two characters meet: one is a ‘normal’ teenager, the other is… something ‘different’. Their attempt at dialogue leads to absurd conversations, surprising transformations, and unexpected intimate moments. WAWA is a low-stimulus performance that playfully addresses the theme of neurodivergence & autism.
