A surprising and enchanting live drawing concert. Two multi-instrumentalists and a multi-disciplinary illustrator transport you to a dreamlike universe of jazz and electronic music, combined with live drawings projected like a graphic novel. A wonderful musical journey in search of beauty, even in our darker sides. A struggle between opposites rages in each of us, with shadow and light standing in opposition to one another. In this story, loosely inspired by Italo Calvino’s The Cloven Viscount, two musicians and an illustrator break down the boundaries between genres to explore this duality that constitutes our inner richness. Live, before the audience’s eyes, they conjure up a dreamlike world that unfolds in black and white, set to music influenced by jazz and electro. A wonderful journey in search of beauty, even in our darker sides. Bio Les Rotondes is a major cultural centre in the heart of Luxembourg City. The centre has a particular focus on young audiences, both in terms of programming and (co-)production. Coline Grandpierre (FR) is fascinated by the connection between music, materials and sound. After working with wood, metal and papier-mâché, she spent four years working as a glass engraver before turning her hand to sound effects. Florence Kraus is a versatile saxophonist and artist from Luxembourg. She works as a musician, visual artist and teacher. Sophie Raynal (FR) has a penchant for breaking down conventional boundaries. Having travelled the world, she specialised in live drawing for theatre or concerts. Grégoire Terrier (FR) is a versatile composer, musician and producer.
