Stacey Kent

For more than two decades, American jazz singer Stacey Kent has captivated audiences with her warm voice and refined stage presence. With millions of albums sold, performances in over fifty countries, and a Grammy nomination, she stands among the leading figures of contemporary jazz. Kent’s journey did not begin in music, however. After studying comparative literature in New York, she moved to Europe, where she immersed herself in London’s vibrant music scene. At the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she met saxophonist and composer Jim Tomlinson, her future husband and musical partner. Together, they developed a unique artistic identity blending jazz, chanson, and Brazilian influences with ease. With a repertoire that spans multiple languages and styles, Stacey Kent consistently strikes an emotional chord. She frequently collaborates with renowned artists and writers, including Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro. Her recent album Summer Me, Winter Me (2023) was an instant success, and her new release A Time For Love is another gem, which she will present in her signature elegant style at De Roma. At De Roma, Stacey Kent is performing as part of a trio, alongside Jim Tomlinson on saxophone and Art Hirahara on piano and keyboard.
