The first Arboreta were already established in the 17th century. A 2nd wave of explorers searched in the 18th and 19th centuries for tree species in the areas yet to be discovered. Why? For economic reasons but also from an aesthetic perspective. We look for trees whose name is linked to explorers, collectors, and tell the story. The walk, organized by Natuurgroepering Zoniënwoud (NGZ) in collaboration with the Koninklijke Schenking, largely goes over unpaved paths. - Guide: Filip V. - Distance: max 7 km and dogs are not allowed. - The walk is free and please report your presence to the guide upon arrival. Registration is desirable but not mandatory. By registering, you are sure of your place and we can keep you informed of possible changes.
