The Salon - Revisited - Peeping Tom

Le Salon shows a once-lush salon that is slowly decaying, along with the aristocratic grandfather who desperately tries to keep up appearances. Inspired by Satyajit Rays Le Salon de Musique, the performance exposes the erosion of tradition, wealth, and family ties. The performance - a collective creation that toured internationally between 2004 and 2009 - mixes theatricality, physical performance, and sharp social observation, and became an unforgettable milestone for many. Now, more than two decades later, Le Salon – revisited is created to re-examine what decay, memory, and renewal mean in our time. Performed by a new group of five artists (three dancers, a singer, and an actor) and directed by Franck Chartier and Gabriela Carrizo, founders of the world-renowned Belgian dance theater company Peeping Tom.
