Aperitif concert - Mellvids Bigband

On June 6 , Kapel Petit will blow out five candles, and we would love to celebrate that with you! We are kicking off the anniversary year with an atmospheric aperitif concert on Drongenplein . None other than Ludo Huyghe – known to many as the ferryman of Drongen – will get behind the drums and bring his swinging Big of Small band for a musical aperitif full of energy and conviviality. The musicians of the Mellvids bring an infectious mix of swing, latin, ballads, jazz, rock, and funk . With their typical big band sound, powerful brass, and a warm rhythm section, they ensure dancing urges, cheerfulness, and a touch of nostalgia. Expect music in the tradition of greats like Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, interspersed with surprising and sunny sounds.
