ILA - Bar Dada

ILA is a Belgian alternative band around the Turkish-Belgian singer-songwriter Ilayda Cicek. Together with Sam Smeets and Cas Kinnaer, she melts Turkish influences and rock into a raw, quirky sound. The band broke through as the winner of De Nieuwe Lichting and immediately made their mark with Leave Me Dry, good for three weeks at number 1 in De Afrekening. The successor also easily reached the top 5 and confirmed their place in the Belgian music scene. In October, their new record will be released, with which they are ready for a next step. Live, ILA is intense and unpredictable. With a penetrating voice, gritty guitars, and a good dose of attitude, the band effortlessly builds tension: sometimes fragile, then again raw and explosive.
